August 27th, 2011 Vokab Kompany headlines the famous Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA! Joining them will be Los Angeles based hip-hop, funk and whimsical wizard Pigeon John along with San Diego super producers Crush Effect and resident DJ Mancat.

Facts about the Playboy Mansion: The mansion has 29 rooms including a wine cellar, a game room, a zoo and aviary, tennis courts, a waterfall and a swimming pool area (including a patio and barbecue area, a grotto, a sauna and a bathhouse). The structure itself is a 21,987-square-foot house and sits on 5.3 acres. The grounds have hosted ESPN Boxing events, music videos like Weezer’s “Beverly Hills” and movies like Beverly Hills Cop 2 (queue the cool piano score).

On August 20th, 2011 Vokab Kompany will be playing at the Playboy Mansion. We have been invited by the awesome charity Partying for a Purpose (check it out!). This is the 11th year they have hosted this event and this year our band along with Pepper, The Adam Lasher Band, and JES will be playing on the main stage in the back yard of the mansion. The event will be raising money for “It’s All About the Kids Foundation” which helps Children SUCCEED!
About the the foundation- It’s a 501 c[3] non profit organization that creates and provides new and innovative programs to benefit children’s charities and enhances the lives of less fortunate children. . Partying for a Purpose is the fundraising branch of the foundation.

We hope you can join us for this special event. We realize the ticket price may be a little more than some are used to but how can you put a price on a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at the mansion. Plus it’s all for a great cause by an awesome company from right here in San Diego.

The 21st annual San Diego Music Awards will take place on Monday, August 8th at 7pm at Humphrey’s by the Bay.

The 2011 San Diego Music Awards will include live performances from Cuckoo Chaos, Little Hurricane, Gilbert Castellanos, Dynamite Walls, The Silent Comedy and more! Plus a very special Lifetime Award presentation to The Penetrators.
